#14 Movie Review: Jurassic Park 3D ❤

Sorry for the late update. Was super busy with my work as usual. Did not even have the time to blog about things I have done for the past few weeks. Anyway two weeks ago, I was invited to watch my all-time favourite childhood movie, Jurassic Park in 3D at e@Curve! *wide grin* Thank you Manoah and Samsung Malaysia! Woohoo~~ There were refreshments provided and a complimentary popcorn and drink. Yay~

Thank you Don from Manoah for the ticket! *jump with joy*

Synopsis
Basically the story is about John Hammond who creates a theme park on a tropical island near Costa Rica, populated with cloned dinosaurs. After a park worker is killed by a Velociraptor, the park's investors, represented by the lawyer Donald Gennaro, demand that experts visit the park and certify it as safe.

Gennaro invites the mathematician Ian Malcolm while Hammond invites Allan Grant and Ellie Sattler, paleontologist and paleobotanist, respectively. They are joined by Hammond's grandchildren, Lex and Tim Murphy. The group sets off in a pair of cars on a tour of the park, while Hammond oversees the trip from the park's control room. The tour does not go as Hammond plans: the Dilophosaurus and the T. Rex do not appear, and the Triceratops becomes ill. Most of the park employees depart on a boat for the mainland before a tropical storm forces a cancellation of the tour. Everyone returns to the electric tour vehicles except Ellie, who stays with the park's veterinarian to study the Triceratops.

Jurassic Park's computer programmer, Dennis Nedry, deactivates the park's security system to allow him access to the embryo storage room; he has been paid to steal the embryos and deliver them to a corporate rival. Many of the park's electric fences are deactivated as a result, releasing a T. Rex that attacks the tour group, killing Gennaro and injuring Malcolm. Grant, Lex, and Tim narrowly escape. On his way to deliver the embryos to the island's docks, Nedry becomes lost, crashes his Jeep, and is killed by a Dilophosaurus.

Sattler assists the park's game warden, Muldoon in a search for survivors, but only find Malcolm before they are attacked by the T. Rex. Unable to decipher Nedry's code to reactivate the security system, Hammond and engineer Ray Arnold opt to reboot the park's computer and electrical network. The group shuts down the park's grid and retreat to an emergency bunker, while Arnold heads to a maintenance shed to complete the process of rebooting the system. When he fails to return, Sattler and Muldoon head to the shed themselves. They discover the shutdown has disabled the remaining fences and released the Velociraptors; Muldoon distracts the raptors while Sattler turns the power back on, discovering the severed arm of Arnold. The raptors ambush and kill Muldoon.

Alone in the park, Grant leads Tim and Lex back to the visitor center; leaving them in the dining room while he searches for the others. The kids escape two of the velociraptors before reuniting with Grant and Sattler. The four head to the control room and Lex restores full power. Grant's group is cornered by the velociraptors but escapes when the T. rex attacks and kills the raptors and lets out a big roar. A helicopter arrives to take the survivors back home.

Review
Overall the movie is good. There are some of the scenes which are quite scary for me. (I am not a brave person by the way). Rate of the movie: 3.5/5.
