[Beauty Review] Althea Petal Velvet Powder ❤
Hey readers! Finally I am back after a month hiatus. It's been a rough month and I am taking this opportunity to blog about the new product which I have received a couple of weeks ago since there's a long break for Malaysians. Before I forgot I would like to wish everyone Happy 60th Independence Day, Malaysia! And today I will be reviewing this Petal Velvet Powder from Althea.

This Petal Velvet Powder from Althea is Althea's very own product range. It is a translucent powder that sets makeup and leaves a silky finish behind. Infused with oil from Althea seeds, the powder works to keep sebum production at bay without drying out the skin for a radiant and fresher look. Its lightweight natural mineral powder helps to cover up pores and reflects bright lights for a velvety smooth finish.
This powder comes with a gentle scent which smells like rose which I quite like it. So far, most of the powder brands I have tried do not have scent to it and this is another plus point added to my translucent powder collection. *winkz*
This powder comes with a puff provided which is super soft and fluffy. You can pick up product with a brush or puff provided and gentle sweep onto the skin. It keeps your makeup looking great all day or dust some onto stay shine-free.
I tried using the puff provided and my own powder brush. Both puff and brush can pick up the product well and I prefer to use powder brush as I can control the amount of powder I want to be applied on my face.
As for the puff, I find it hard to control the amount of powder I want to use on my face. Normally if I choose to use the puff I will tap off the remaining powder on the puff on the lid of the powder to avoid having so much powder on the face. Sufficient amount of powder on the face will definitely helps your skin looking matte all day.
The powder definitely leaves my skin looking smooth and soft as if I have a baby skin upon applying on my face. I have no complaints on the powder as it works wonder on my face.
Overall, I am satisfied with the powder as it helps to control the sebum on my face especially on my T-zone area. However the sebum control of the T-zone can only last for half of the day. Somehow I need to bring this along with me for a touch-up application to control the sebum on my T-zone area.
For a price of RM16 which is cheap as compared with other powder brand in the market, I think this product is worth trying for those who are looking for affordable translucent powder for setting makeup.
