gradmalaysia National Student Challenge 2012 ❤

Look of the day. Outfit: Checkered shirt and jeans by Forever 21.

I was just trying my luck the other day in the online assessment for the National Student Challenge 2012 organised by gradmalaysia in partnership with SEC. Indeed I was lucky enough to be one of the top 30 finalists among thousands of participants to take part in this challenge on the day itself which is on 12th May 2012 which coincided with the Graduate Careers Fair held at Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre from 11 am till 5 pm.

My dearies and i reached pretty early and my registration number was 0002 a number after Jie Hoai. My dearies were kind enough to accompany me the whole day during the challenge as we were allocated into a lounge room which to be separated from the career fair in the convention centre. I was seriously lucky to meet up with a junior of mine who is from UTAR too.

We were divided into 6 groups and for round 1 which is case study competition, each group was assigned a case study to examine and prepare a presentation on. A group was rewarded for the presentation skills, as well as our creativity and practicality in coming up with solutions to the problems. TWO groups made it through the final stage which is Group 2 and Group 6. The judges (comprising of senior management from Axiata, RHB, Maybank, Prudential and HSBC) chose my team mate and another guy from Group 1 to enter the final stage.

In round 2 which is Hired in 60 Seconds, the final round contestants had to come up with creative ideas on "Why Should I Be Hired?" using the materials prepared by the organiser.

The winners were announced where Catherine Lam from UPM grabbed the new iPad followed by Benjamin Wong who took away RM500 cash and Pua Jia Jiun with RM300 cash. Congratulations to the winners! Each participant was given a certificate of participation as a token of appreciation. =)

Did not have the time to eat lunch or breakfast during the competition so my friend suggested to me to go for our dinner at Bubba Gump.

My tired look and Kah Khey dear. =)

Jie Hoai and Jing Yin

Seeing this made me hungry at this moment. =(

The onion ring is so huge!

Last but not least, a photo to cheer you up! INTRODUCING THE MAN-MADE BALLOON BY JANICE YEAP! =P

P/s: I am officially free from degree life! Woohoo!~~ But sadly another important person in my life had left this world. Attended my uncle's funeral last Thursday in KL. Got my results on the day itself. I know you will bless me always. Rest in peace, uncle. =) My first interview tomorrow in PJ! Wish me luck! :D
