#2 Movie Review: Premiere Screening of Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters ❤

It's my second movie review of the year. Thank you Nuffnang for giving me the opportunity to watch it with the rest of the bloggers. This time my sis, Jamie Yeap joined me for movie screening after so long of hiatus mode. She is currently having her three months of semester break and she is back in KL for a week to settle her stuffs. So I took this opportunity to ask her to join this premiere screening with me. Yay! *wide grin*

Synopsis
Catching up with Hansel (Jeremy Renner) and Gretel (Gemma Arterton), many years after the traumatic incident involving a gingerbread house, the siblings have grown into vengeful bounty hunters dedicated to exterminating witches. Over the years, the siblings became expert hunters, famous for their proficiency at tracking and taking down their prey. Although still recovering from their ordeal, their work is relatively easy because for an unknown reason, harmful spells and curses do not work well against them.

Jeremy Renner as Hansel and Gemma Arterton as Gretel

The Mayor of Augsburg, Germany recruits them to rid the town and nearby forests of an evil sorceress Muriel (Famke Janssen) who is planning to sacrifice many local children at the witches' gathering during the upcoming 'Blood Moon' night in two days time. To make things worse, the duo also has to deal with the brutal Sheriff Berringer (Peter Stormare) who has taken power in Augsburg and conducts a very indiscriminate witch-hunt of his own.

My opinion: The movie is good. But there are some scenes which are too gory. The witches in the movie are beautiful especially Muriel. Muriel wants Gretel's heart so that the witches will be immortal and not afraid of fire forever! Anyway, I would rate it 4/5.

Selca-ing with my tickets. Thank you Nuffnang! ❤

P/s: Remember to catch this movie in cinemas starting on 24th January 2013!
